First Visit to Sensimar Andiz Hotel
In general:Looking forward to our first holiday at Andiz, we were not disappointed with the holiday at all. Location and surroundings:We love Side, this is our third visit to the area and we have previously stayed in Barut Hotels. The beach, promenade and historical ruins in Side are fascinating Service:Our experience was that the staff were very helpful and only too willing to assist. I would particularly like to highlight the Executive Chef Veli, the restaurant Service Manager Hassan and our favourite waiter Murat. These guys were superb! Dining:The buffet restaurant was very nice with plenty of tables outside, we were not regularly troubled by smokers and the service from all the waiters was excellent. They regularly cleared used dishes and replaced drinks. In the restaurant the food choice suited our needs perfectly, we never wanted for a quality meal throughout the holiday. All foods on display were labelled for allergy, a particular need for us as my husband is Coeliac and must eat a strictly gluten free diet. Additionally advice was available although you have to make allowance for the language barrier. There is one area I would like to draw the attention of the restaurant management to - and this is cross contamination. Coeliac disease requires complete isolation of foods from gluten containing items. Cross contamination can occur in the restaurant when serving spoons etc. are DOUBLE DIPPED when gluten containing foods are served on the same plate as gluten free foods. I am sure the management appreciate this BUT the guests do not and inadvertently contaminate serving spoons or even the whole container of gluten free food. Sports and leisure:The bar staff were excellent as well, they seem to have photographic memories(in particular Ali) who recognises faces and remembers the correct drinks. The Sunset Bar is superb and in general the entertainment is ok. The II Divo tribute act was very good but not to our taste. The Drifters tribute act were great and the dj also played great music. Unfortunately the bar isn't always open which leaves a hole in the entertainment. Not everybody enjoys bingo and quiz nights. We didn't use the pool, beach is our love and the managed beach area was fine, the man on duty looked after things there efficiently. Room: We arrived at the hotel very late, early on 14th Sept. after baggage collection delays at the airport. The reception staff were efficient and quick to check us in and we received a welcome cocktail. The bags were quickly delivered to our room and the friendly porter explained all about our room. It was too late to get anything to eat so we went straight to bed. The room was very well appointed with a pool view on the first floor. Useful tips: Lastly, All senior managers including the general manager were available at all times and approachable, a well run hotel. We will definitely seriously consider a return trip.

The food variety was outstanding and it was one of the best aspects of the hotel. The location was close to the beach, which was convenient. There was also a gym, which was a plus.
The music at the restaurant was too loud and annoying. It was extremely hard to have a conversation.

During our Easter getaway, we stayed at a hotel that offered fantastic food. the chefs did a great job of preparing every dish, and there were always different options available. the second thing we enjoyed during our stay was the location. It was very convenient to get to the beach and other attractions. Plus, the room we stayed in had an incredible view. Another advantage was the high level of service we received from the staff. They were very attentive and welcoming, making us feel right at home.
